The Bionobo standard

Quality, as we see it.

For us, quality isn't one certification, one test or one ingredient. It's the entire journey.

What we are actually looking at.

  • Where something comes from.
  • How it was grown.
  • How little it was interfered with.
  • How slowly it was processed.
  • What remains intact when it reaches you.

Over the years we've tested hundreds of ingredients, compounds and suppliers, looking for the versions we would actually want to take ourselves.

What made the cut became the Bionobo standard.

Less interference

More of what nature created.

Pesticide-free

It starts at the source. We prioritise ingredients grown and collected without unnecessary pesticides or unwanted chemical exposure.

Slowly processed

Nature took time to create it, and we don't believe processing should undo that. Wherever possible we choose slow extraction, fermentation, cold processing and sun-drying: methods built around the ingredient rather than around production speed.

Kept intact

We care about more than the name of an ingredient on a label. Processing matters. We look for methods that preserve the natural complexity of the original material, instead of breaking it apart to make production faster or easier.

Whole over isolated

Whole plants. Naturally occurring mineral complexes. Fermented foods. Mushrooms. Botanical combinations. Nature rarely creates one compound in isolation, and neither do we.

Not diluted

If we find something exceptional, we don't want less of it.

This one is simple.

We don't dilute ingredients to make them easier or cheaper to produce. We avoid unnecessary fillers and shortcuts, and we favour concentrated formulations where the ingredient itself stays the protagonist.

Concentrated by design. Not diluted.

Bioavailability changes everything.

What's inside the bottle is only half the story. We care deeply about the form an ingredient arrives in: its natural structure, its processing, its fermentation, its mineral form, and the compounds that naturally accompany it. Because an impressive ingredient list means very little if the body can't make good use of what's there. For us, quality and bioavailability belong in the same conversation.

What fulvic and humic acids actually are

First, we try it ourselves

Bionobo didn't begin by looking for products to sell.

It grew out of our own search for tools that helped us feel more energetic, more capable and, ultimately, more free in the way we live.

We've tried hundreds of ingredients, suppliers, formulas and versions along the way. Most never became Bionobo.

The products you see here are the ones that stayed. Many are the same tools our founders, families and friends still use as part of everyday life.

We share what made a difference in ours.

Ancient doesn't mean unverified

Respect for nature doesn't mean abandoning modern standards.

We have enormous respect for traditional ingredients and processes.

We verify identity and origin where possible, work with qualified manufacturing partners, and use independent laboratory testing appropriate to each product.

Purity, microbiology, contaminants, heavy metals and other parameters are assessed according to the material and what it requires.

Respect the source. Verify the result.

Our standard is simple.

  1. Clean source. Start with better raw materials.
  2. Slow process. Don't sacrifice integrity for speed.
  3. Keep it whole. Preserve natural complexity whenever possible.
  4. Make it bioavailable. Form matters as much as quantity.
  5. Don't dilute it. Keep exceptional ingredients exceptional.
  6. Test what matters. Nature and verification can coexist.

We're still looking

The Bionobo standard isn't static.

We continue testing. Comparing. Asking questions. Meeting producers. Looking at processes. Trying different forms.

If we find something better, we change.

Our goal was never to make the most products. It was to find the ones worth sharing.

Only what we would take ourselves.
